Welcome to the best news of Today. We are excited to introduce the Fashion Moves Garment Design Competition.
Fashion Moves is the beginning of a new Movement. As it developes, the Fashion Moves Clothing line will move you into the activities and positions in life that YOU want to take part in. This is also your chance to speak to the Garment Industry and ‘Move’ them to create respectful, fun and functional fashion that fits the lifestyle you choose to live.
Do you use a wheelchair and need a business suit that actually fits, to wear to the office? Do the belt loops on your pants always break because you have used them as a pulling point to get your pants up?
Are you a Below or Above Knee amputee and tired of the socket of your prosthesis eating holes in your trouser legs within week of buying new trousers? Do you want to wear pants with a more fitted leg but it it too much hassle with your BK limb?
Do you need to keep a spare set of clothes at the office because the colostomy bag sometimes leaks? Have you given up on street basketball or swimming because of the colostomy bag?
Are you going on a cruise for your 60th birthday and want fun fancy clothes to wear and want these clothes to celebrate the fact that you are 60 and not pretend that you are 25? Is it important to have an age appropriate selection to choose from?
These are just some of the situations we will address over the next few years. In September we will launch the First Annual Fashion Moves Garment Design Competition. This will be open to Fashion and Garment Design students at Colleges and Universities and Technical Institutes throughout Canada and the United States. The winning garments that are designed each year will enhance YOUR life. Come along for the ride. Let us know of the frustrations you have with clothing and give the students real life problems to solve.
